I’ve often wondered what the rest of the world would say if they had any idea of everything that’s constantly going on inside my head, and that’s exactly what this quote by Stephen Hawking makes me think of.
This image was originally found on threesixfive’s tumblr, but I’m not sure who initially created it.
What an incredibly adorable piece of needle felted artwork! The title of the piece is “Help Friends Play Games: I’ll give you ride, you give Dolly a ride” and was created by artist Hiné Mizushima. I love the cephalopods, the color of the girl’s hair, and everything else - it’s just too freaking cute! Which I guess is why it’s (appropriately) going to part of the “Art Too Cute for Words: A Supahcute Dream Team Show” art show at Leanna Lin’s Wonderland in Los Angeles, California. If you live in the LA area, and are into cute, then go check out the show!

Talk about a super cute and creative birthday card design! This card was created and is sold by 55 Hi’s on their website, so it’s not something you can just pick up on the way to a party, but that doesn’t make it any less nifty. (It comes either as a bottle hanger or just regular card, depending on your preference.)

There are cakes, and then there are CAKES OF TOTAL WIN. This cake definitely falls within that second category. Made by Vera at Baking Obsession for her son’s birthday, this amazing dragon cake (Alduin the World Eater from Skyrim, to be precise) supposedly tasted like strawberry chocolate. I collect dragons (to the point where both my daughter and little cousin are dragon babies!), so if anyone out there magically decided to give something as awesome as this to me, I think I’d be torn between eating it and putting it with the rest of my dragon collection!

Sometimes I feel like I’m drowning, as though no matter how hard I swim it’s just not enough to keep my head above water. “Relinquish” by artist Kelly McKernan seems to echo those feelings for me. It reminds me that it’s important to acknowledge all my feelings, even the sad ones.

The British comedy “The IT Crowd” is one of my favorite geeky shows! “This, Jen, is the Internet” is a great poster, and was created by Christian Petersen, @azrealsky on Twitter.

I really like the composition of this black and white photograph by photographer Vihao Pham, but it also reminds me of my daughter. My daughter is a very talented ballet dancer as well, and has already been on pointe for a year now (with the approval of both her teacher and her podiatrist.) But I digress. “Ladder” is a lovely image.

This great macro image of a couple of colored plastic Slinkys by photographer Kristofer Gustafsson completely reminds me of my childhood. “Slinky 2” (as the image is called)is nostalgia-tastic!

There are a lot of different ways that this portrait could’ve been painted, but I really like the way that artist Lana Khavronenko has approached the piece. The results of “Angel” are very pretty.
